I hope you've all been well and happy, with peace in your spirits, since our last discussion.
With all the hype and speculation that has surrounded the singular date of December 21, 2012, I have, as you know, been spending much time attempting to sort through what is known about the predictions and prophecies from the various sources we have on the subject. Thus far, we've covered the Mayan and Hopi predictions. Now, we'll move on to another interesting source, known as the Web Bot Project.
The Web Bot Project is an internet bot software program that claims to predict future events by tracking keywords entered on the internet. Created in 1997 by Cliff High, it was originally intended as a tool to predict stock futures. Strangely, soon after it's inception, the program unexpectedly began predicting world events. The science behind the program is complex and technical, but a brief description, taken from "askville", an amazon.com sub site, is as follows:
"A system of spiders, agents, and wanderers travel the Internet, much
like a search engine robot, and look for particular kinds of words. It
targets discussion groups, translation sites, and places where regular
people post a lot of text.
When a "target word" is found, or
something that is lexically similar, the web bots take a small 2048 byte
snip of surrounding text and send it to a central collection point. The
collected data at times approaches 100 GB sample sizes. The collected
data is then filtered, using at least 7-layers of linguistic processing
in Prolog, which is then reduced to numbers and then a resultant series
of scatter chart plots on multiple layers of Intellicad. Viewed over a
period of time, the scatter chart points tend to coalesce into highly
concentrated areas. Each dot on the scatter chart might represent one
word or several hundred.
The core of the technology therefore is
to look at how the scatter chart points cluster, condensing into high
"dot density" areas called "entities" and then dissolving or diffusing
over time as the entities change. Do a drill down into a dot and you get
a series of phrases..."
Confused yet? Suffice it to say that it is a random sample of the "collective unconscious" of internet users based on what they discuss on line. The documented predictions thus far have proved to be uncannily accurate. Here are some examples:
1) The first accurate prediction from the web bots came in June of 2001 claiming
a catastrophic event would take place within the next 60-90 days.
Regrettably it did - we all know what happened on September 11, 2001.
2) Shortly after the program predicted a maritime disaster, the space shuttle Columbia failed catastrophically before the eyes of tens of thousands of onlookers...millions by way of television and internet.
3) The program accurately predicted the New York blackout in 2003.
4) Prior to the Anthrax scare, the program predicted an attack on Congress.
5) A gunshot wound or accident surrounding Dick Cheney was predicted just prior to his accidental wounding of an individual in a hunting accident.
6) There was an accurate prediction of the East Coast power outage in 2003.
7) A prediction was made of an attack related to a commemorative event just prior to the Veterans' Day crash of an American Airlines jet. Wikipedia documents the crash as follows: "American Airlines flight 587, an Airbus A300, crashed into the Belle Harbor neighborhood of Queens, New York (a borough of New York City) shortly after taking off from JFK airport on November 12, 2001, causing 265 fatalities. This was a mere 61 days after the 911 tragedy. Several factors, such as the date, time, aircraft size, airline, eyewitness accounts, and location in New York, raised concerns that the crash was caused by another terrorist attack. According to Northeast Intelligence Network, Al-Qaeda listed the crash among its successes, and a Canadian militant cooperating with authorities suggested that it had been brought down with a shoe bomb. Nonetheless, terrorism was officially ruled out as the cause by the National Transportation Safety Board, which, inexplicably, instead attributed the disaster to the first officer's overuse of rudder controls in response to wake turbulence.
8) The program correctly predicted massive unemployment beginning in 2008.
9) An accurately prediction was made of the Earthquake and Tsunami in 2009.
10) Just prior to Hurricane Katrina, the Web Bot stated: " There will be a 2009 winter/spring
natural disaster, which will cause people to become
angry about government response. With the dramatic increase in natural disasters
such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and more,
the government’s inability to respond to
the immediate needs of the people will prove to
be devastating for many."
There are many more predictions which have proved accurate that I've not cited here. All can be easily researched, if you feel so inclined, on the web. From these few, however, one can easily see that there may indeed be some validity to the claims of accuracy the proponents of the Web Bot Project make. The burning question, then, for the subject at hand, is what the Web Bots predict for 2012? The latest Web Bot predictions, according to the aforementioned Mr. High, are rather grim. The most widely published prediction reads:
"There will be an untimely demise for millions in 2012, brought upon by some combination of pandemics, economic collapse, breakdown of health care and unknown energies from space."
An analysis of this prophecy shows the distinct possibility for accuracy. Pandemics are familiar to we modern humans. We are all aware of news reports each winter concerning influenza scares. History has shown that from time to time humanity is afflicted with epidemics. We have seen our economy deteriorate mightily since 2008. Our health care system consistently teeters on the brink due to high costs and our growing elderly population; an epidemic or natural/man made disaster could send our precarious health care system over the edge. The latter part of this prediction dealing with unknown energies from space seems far fetched, until one does some research. There are theories which deal with this scenario. Mr. Hide, in addition to being behind the Web Bot Project, has also studied this subject intensely, and has postulated ideas dealing with magnetic anomalies which could throw our world into a massive restructuring. The forces which may be at work in our solar system and galaxy might very well explain and predict what is to come.
As for the Web Bot Project, one ominous fact has many who follow it's predictions quite disturbed. A "data gap" has been found between late 2012 running through May 2013. This means that the program shows no activity whatsoever for this time frame. One explanation is that "our civilization gets knocked back to a pre-electronic state," such as brought about by devastating solar activity. Considering this fact, I believe it is prudent to take a look at the latter part of the above mentioned web bot prediction dealing with the untimely demise of millions of us, in part, by "energies from space". In my next post, I'll discuss what is known and what is theorized concerning this.
Until then, as always, may each of you be in peace.
